  हिन्दु से मुस्लिम बनकर् बंगाल का पहला राजा बना...!!! मुर्शिद कुली खान  ( B.1665-D.30 june 1727) (बंगाल के प्रथम नवाब /राजा) मुग़ल कालीन बंगाल प्रांत की अगर समीक्षा की जाए तो आप पाएंगे यहा उस दौर मे भी आबादी काफी घनी बसी हुई थी। जिसके कारण रोज़गार का आभाव और गरीबी का आलम हमेशा से ही पूरे बंगाल प्रांत पर हावी रहा है। इसी के चलते बंगाल के अंडर देह व्यापार से लेकर दास व्यापार का चलन काफी प्रचलन मे आया। गरीबी मे वहा के लोग अपने बच्चो तक को बड़े ज़मींदारो या छोटी रियासतो के नवाबो  को बेच देते थे। शारीरिक बलिष्ठा को देखते हुए उन्हे या तो घरेलु नौकर या दास बनाकर काम लिया जाता था या फिर उनको युद्ध के लिए तैयार किया जाता था। ऐसे ही गरीबी की मार झेल रहे एक ब्राह्मण हिन्दु परिवार ने अपने बेटे (सूर्य नारायण मिश्रा) को  हाजी शफी इस्फहनी को सन 1670 मे बेच दिया। हाजी शफी ने सबसे पहले इस बच्चे का खतना करवाकर मुस्लिम बनाया और इस बच्चे का नाम   मुर्शीद कुली खान कर दिया।  मुर्शिद कुली खान  ( B.1665-D.30 june 1727) शफी की मृत्यु के बाद, उसने (   मुर्शीद कुली ख...

लाला चुन्नमल की ऐतिहासिक  हवेली ...!!! लाला चुन्नामल की हवेली दिल्ली के पुरानी दिल्ली इलाके में एक दुर्लभ हवेली है जो बहुत अच्छी तरह से संरक्षित अवस्था में है।   गौर करें तो 1850 के दशक के मध्य में लाला चुन्नामल #चांदनी #चौक, #पुरानी #दिल्ली में रहने वाले एक बहुत ही धनी व्यापारी थे। उनका परिवार पंजाबी व्यापारियों की खत्री जाति से ताल्लुक रखता था।  1857 के भारतीय #विद्रोह के दौरान, लाला चुन्नामल दिल्ली के सबसे धनी व्यक्तियों में से एक बनकर उभरे। उन्होंने बड़ी होशियारी से ये भांप लिया कि हवा किस तरफ चल रही है और अंग्रेजों को सामान सप्लाई करके खूब पैसा कमाया।   दिलचस्प बात ये है कि उन्होंने खुद बादशाह बहादुर शाह जफर की ऋण के लिए की गई मांग को भी ठुकरा दिया था।   बादशाह को मना करने के बाद, वह शहर से रातोंरात निकल गए, इससे पहले उन्होंने अपनी अधिकांश संपत्ति को गुप्त रूप से शहर से बाहर भेज दिया था। शत्रुता  समाप्त होने के बाद, अंग्रेजों ने दिल्ली शहर से सभी मुसलमानों को निर्वासित (जबरन हटाने) का आदेश दिया।  हालांकि, लाला चुनमल ने एक ऐसा काम भी...
